Also, the personal trainer evaluation didn't seem fair, it seemed like an evaluation that would help them make money (and no, this is not based on my personal opinion, I did get a couple other consults).
Negative stars. Tried to attend a fitness class on a guest pass, was kicked out of fitness class because I did not register ahead of time online, even though this option is not available for guest members, and nowhere did it say registration was mandatory. I was joining specifically for the fitness classes, how do you expect new members to join your gym with first experiences like this?
Don't make it painful for someone to cancel. While joining I had added in a member who was visiting and had let them know we would want to cancel in 3 months. Now they want me to go there in person which is fine but it has to be between 9 to 5 and work days - I mean seriously!!
Ever had that nightmare subscription that makes it impossible to leave? LA Fitness is that nightmare. I will never willingly pay another dollar to this absolute scam, though apparently i do have to pay $30 to end this membership. I've paid for 4 months of unused time and they want me to pay more to end it. Absolutely horrible business

I am taking group fitness classes at this gym. Fitness room only has basic equipment, not enough weights. Classes are constantly cancelled without a notice to members. Also don't have consistent instructors except for a regular ones. Classes are crowded, barely any space to work out. Any time you ask a question or comment to people at reception, they do nothing about it because there seems not be no upper management. Everything managed out of 800 customer service number. Only good thing about this gym is hours. Lately though, any time I come in, the class is cancelled. Waste of time if you are looking to work out consistently.
I will say that the classes and facility are nice and clean.
Edit: I had my credit card provider blacklist this company, but I'm still receiving their spam. Just an absolutely horrible experience. Please do not let the few nice gyms fool you, most of their gyms are awful and their customer service is stuck in the 17th century.
