Ugh! Having been to Tokyo we were super excited to eat conveyor belt sushi. However I'm not sure what we actually ate. It was utterly awful. The fact that there was not a single Japanese person in the kitchen area should have been my first clue. The rice was absolutely vile. I've never had such terrible rice. It was a mushy mess. I'll never bother going again. Such a disappointment.
Sushi was pretty good. The plates coming around on the conveyor belt is convenient and kind of fun. The family liked it.
Sushi rice tasted like rubber.. I sat where the cooks were making sushi... oh God.. they use a machine to "process" rice to make sushi. The machine wasn't clean. I finished just one dish and decided to leave. It is fun to watch sushi dishes moving around you but they need cooling system for the food and keep the place clean. The employees were slow and inefficient. Too many employees were idling and not doing their jobs (tons of dirty dishes, not many sushi choices, slow waiter/waitress service). I will not be back for a while!!
Service is good, food is TERRIBLE. Worst Japanese food ever. Will never come back again.
Good place for lunch at the mall. I tried the Sweet Potato Tempura roll which was vegan, and I had to grab another plate! It was delicious. The pricing was also great ($4.50 for the roll).
